Who doesn’t love dessert? Here’s one you can whip up in less than 5 minutes, and it’ll save you hundreds of calories than devouring the actual cake it’s named for!

Drink Skinny Pineapple Upside Down Cake

1.5 oz whipped vodka

3 oz Drink Skinny Pineapple Mango Margarita Mix

crushed ice

1 pineapple wedge & 1 maraschino cherry

1)Pour crushed ice into a cocktail glass   2)Add vodka & Drink Skinny & stir gently   3)Add pineapple wedge & maraschino cherry for a garnish & enjoy!

Here’s to National Vodka Day…and our Grapefruit Gimlet Recipe!

Have you heard? It’s National Vodka Day! No? That’s okay. I actually didn’t remember what day it was until I woke up this morning and saw it all over Twitter (and I call myself “Chief Cocktail Shaker” around here…the nerve.) Anyway, National Vodka Day is the perfect opportunity to introduce a recipe we’ve been working on over here. It’s our twist on the Gimlet, using Ruby Red vodka and our original flavor of Drink Skinny.

Ruby Red is one of our favorite flavored vodkas, so we’re always trying to find another drink to use it in! This grapefruit gimlet is simple, colorful, and SUPER tasty. It’s even worth a try if you think you’re not a grapefruit fan–it’ll surprise you. And have I mentioned it’s only 115 calories? Winning!

 

Drink Skinny Grapefruit Gimlet*

1.5 oz Ruby Red vodka

3 oz Drink Skinny Margarita Mix

ice

2-3 grapefruit wedges

1) Pour vodka, Drink Skinny, & ice into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. 2) Pour into a martini glass, leaving the ice behind. 3) squeeze in the juice of 1-2 grapefruit wedges, and use the other as a garnish.
